The top one could only have been left - sodium chloride can't be filtered out of a solution as it is soluble.
It makes sense, but I wondered if there might be some other solid impurities in there too...

What do you think the grade boundaries will be?

Last yr was 40 for an A*
This one was probably slightly easier, generally (although I still somehow managed to mess it up!); so, I could see it being anywhere between 43-47 for an A*, this year... I can only hope that I just picked up some extra marks where I didn't expect to; because, otherwise, I'M DONE FOR!

It still feels like SUCH a long wait until Results' Day - why does it have to be quite so late this year?!

I really wonder when the grade boundaries will be released. Chemistry is the one subject that I am *****ing about.

Yes - it's always on the day before Results' Day.

Wow! - These grade-boundaries really are low, aren't they?

    A* - 39
    A - 32
    B - 25
    C - 18
    D - 11
    E - 7

I'm just so glad - because I really didn't like that paper that much!

Well, I stand corrected: it was only 39 for an A* this year. I must say that my judgement is completely off!
