I got 18 for lambda, can someone explain why that's wrong? I checked it thoroughly and I think I got the answer you put, or something quite similar. How many marks will i get for E.C.F?

Uuuh, I'd recommend looking at past questions and seeing what the marks are awarded for. If I had to guess you'd lose both for the costheta and perhaps get 1 or 2 ecf for the second part.
Ah okay. Because the value of costheta was 3 marks, and then the area of the triangle was 2 marks I believe, so I think I will get probs 1/3 for the costheta one due to attempting to apply a correct method, and maybe 2/2 for the area since I did use my value from the previous part? Is that reasonable do you think? Thanks

I guess one of the marks for the area will be accuracy (k = 2) so perhaps 1 for ecf.

So 2/5 for those 2 parts then?

so for the area of the triangle question - I got an answer of 24/5 but I had correct angle and the side lengths - will i get 2/3 marks or only 1/3

That'd be my guess. As I said, I'd suggest looking at past mark schemes.

wasn't lambda = 16? then it changed to 8 outside the integral when you did the second part?
I accidentally did this too. I forgot that inside the square root the 4's cancelled out and so I incorrectly took out a factor of 2 how many marks was 6C and 6D guys. Will we get marks for error carried forward if your methods were correct except this mistake?
