Not at all. What have I got to apologise for?
Falsely accusing the Labour Party and individuals within it of having no support for David. This was a lie and slanderous and merits an apology. If you're not going to give us one, then politely shove off and don't pursue David for the same thing.

On a side note directed at obi, I'm no Blairite. I do rather like my civil liberties, and can't say I'm really that fond of Iraq.
Yet you quite like cosying up to the Liberal Democrats, can't say that many democratic socialists would do that. Blairism is hardly limited to authoritarian attitudes to civil liberties and bombing the **** out of Iraq. How far do you believe the private sector has a role in the provision of education, healthcare, transporation systems? For any true Labourite the answer should be fairly close to zero. I'd be surprised indeed if that was the case for you, but I'm perfectly content to be wrong.

I was only saying what I saw and what was my observation. I was stating an opinion based on what I saw. Since I've sorted it with david, why are you getting involved?

Because you've been insinuating for some time that we have no faith in David - particularly myself and DebatingGreg. That affects the Labour Party, and as Deputy Leader it my responsibility to help care for the Party.

No only you because until the post a few minutes back, you hadn't stated that you had faith in him. I haven't pursued that line of argument after you stated that you had faith in him have I?

    Talking absolute balderdash.

Trying to create problems and **** stir unnecessarily in TSR Labour.

Just saying it how I see it. Since I'm not getting into an argument about it, to quote Adorno:

I'm putting you on ignore, I suggest that you do the same for me.

I say that a lot. In fact, I'm always amazed I'm not just talking to myself half the time. Oh well, back to listening to Jerry Goldsmith and wondering if a paper on the role of music in sports films isn't a trifle trite as an academic topic.

And what have you decided on the paper front then?

I think that I need to start using the ignore function more.

And what have you decided on the paper front then?
That it would be quite enjoyable to do. Invariably sports movies feature the same kind of plot - the unsung hero triumphing against adversity. And so the music often reflects that trope as well. But they also tell you an awful lot about America and the American dream and so the music retains a kind of innocence about it. Not something you entirely expect from sport.

Definitely. I learned in a previous regeneration that there are some who are not worth engaging with. You wouldn't in real life, so why be forced to on a forum?

    David has my full support.
    Ditto.

I see no reason for his leadership to be challenged.

So is having to equip all HGV's with sensors, so is making employers have to reveal salaries to employees, so is:

    (d) The man who has had sex with another man, has had sex with a man less than one year before the day of attempted donation.

The opposition haven't exactly been amazing either.

So did that, with a crushing supermajority.

I couldn't give a flying **** whether they passed or not. The bills you have passed are FARCES. Making somebody abstain from sex for a year to give blood is a farce.

It's what the medical authority on the subject recommends. Incidentally, we actually lowered the limit from 5 years to 1 year, in line with said recommendations. We certainly haven't increased that time period.

I will relate one of your bills to real life.

My mother worked for a bank. She gets paid less for work than her male counterpart, but does the same work. Does she have grounds to sue her employer?

    Yes...

That's ridiculous. What the bill fails to take into account is performance. I said nothing about my mother's ability and her attainment at work.

just one of the many flaws in that bill
