thanks im so stoked haha they sent me the offer in very late feb....

    have you applied as well?
haha yes I did! applied for international relations!
My case was exceptionally weird because they demanded that they sent them my A level results before they make a decision (=_=). So i sent them my results on fri right after i received it. Supposed to reach them today.
Hopefully I get an offer soon X:

Totally didn't know this thread existed! I'm a polytechnic student and I just got conditionals for Neuroscience from UCL, Manchester, Nottingham & Edinburgh. Still waiting on KCL. So far I don't believe I should have any problem meeting the conditions.

Neuroscience is extremely specialised a course though, so I'm not sure if I should be asking if I will meet anyone of you here (though I will be seriously thrilled if I do, given that each course has only 20+ intake, it's always good to have someone from home!). I'm very certainly firming UCL (:

Good luck everyone who're still waiting on for offers!

Hmm mind me asking how you're going to fund your studies in the UK? (London's ex!!)

Nah it's a fair question (and quite about everyone asks that). Well, I'm really banking on a scholarship so I can't say for sure that I can actually go on to UK in spite of the offers. If I do not get a scholarship, I will just stay local then. Quite... fatalistic, and so indeed it'd be quite a pity especially since I'm really interested in a course that our local universities do not offer, but what is one to do without the money!

Hmm you can probably take a bank loan and pay it off later?

Nah, it's not feasible in my case given my family financial situation. So, I've pretty much psyched myself to take whatever comes. Local probably won't be too bad although I am not very keen on graduating fresh out of the same generic life science mill, seeing that I already know what I want to do.

    What about yourself? You self-funded?

    Hey guys!
Wanted to ask any seniors or basically anyone about my chances. Hahaha
Got back my a level results recently.
    Scored a disappointing ABC/D with GP:B
Was wondering if my grades are good enough to enter UK unis to do business (major in finance and accounting) or maths (quantitative finance) or economics.
My target unis in the UK are Bristol, Bath, Nott, KCL.
Obviously Warwick is out of the question (((
Thanks and i look forward to you guy's advices!!!!
    Appreciate it!

Compare the offer requirements posted on their websites, and +/- one grade is usually a good gage.

You'd probably stand a good chance with Bristol. They're pretty lenient with the international students and your grades aren't that disappointing. I know of people who have been offered a place in Bristol Law with BBB/B so your ABC still has a rather good shot if its for biz.

Hey timorockstaryeo, thanks for your advice. You yourself studying in the UK? Do you think Warwick and KCL is out of reach?

hey acegunner, no worries! i'm going to bristol in september to start school. I think warwick is possible but KCL is kinda dicey. But still, I think you should spread your choices evenly. Meaning, choose a couple of slightly out of reach unis (you never know your chances so just try!), then two safe choices and finally one backup plan should all fail (choy). That's what I did and it worked out for me. So i guess you could put down both Warwick and KCL. You'll never know what might happen! Cheers =)

Oh! No worries. Dr Dewi told me he would offer on the 15th of December. But the offer only came through UCAS on the 5th of January. So that's like a 20 day wait. It's only been 2 weeks.

    Are you from UK?
