I don't want childhood to come up either!
If I was to make up statistics like 'The British Social Attitudes Survey found this...' etc
Do you think that the examiner would notice? It's just I don't know that many studies :/

Our teacher says you have two types of examiners: those that check statistics and those that dont care, i suppose if it was realistic you might just get away with it, but..

I really hope demographic transition and divorce come up would be amazing

I have a feeling it will be childhood
    ○e.g. a child centred society
    ○childhood as a social construct
    ○childhood is progressing

Hope it doesnt but could someone help with how to structure these questions please

if changes in the family came up, would you talk about:
parsons vs laslett, the family and modernity, the family and postmodernity, willmott and young vs mc glone et al?
or would it be about family diversity??
what's changes in the family? is that domestic labour?

family diversity came up in january....don't think it will come up again?

Hey wondering if anyone can help on how structure the social policy essay?
I'm confused as to whether you just talk about what the theories say or you talk about a policy at a time :s
    Thanks

Policy is unlikely to be a 24 marker..

Changes in the family is Topic 5. So marriage, divorce, lone parent families, ethnic differences etc.

Hi everyone, is it likely that we will get a 24 mark question on the functions of the family?

If we do do you need to include all views of the family including what functionalism, Marxism, feminism, post-modernism and new right say. Please can someone give me the main points what each of them say and what sociologists i could back them up with. I'm struggling so much with this topic Thanks in advance

Marxism came up in January as a 24 marker, so it's unlikely it'll come up again.
