Wouldn't you just talk about the methods? Such as Pilot,Direct, phased, Paralell and discuss the pros and cons of each one?
How would you answer this question: Describe suitable recovery procedures for the datastored on UCDM servers located at ipswich?
and what is aggregated information?
Hoping there's a big marker on installation!
Also, does anyone know if the grade boundaries for INFO4 are likely to be the same or similar to last years?
Easy way to remember the 8 principles of the data protection act

LOARNEIS

L-Data must be processed lawfully and fairly
O- Data subjects have the right to view their own records
A- Accurate
R- Relevant
N- Data shouldn't be used any longer than necessary
E- EU- shouldn't be transferable outside of the EU unless that country has adequate levels of protection
I- Information officer
S- Secure

Someone correct me if im wrong, but I looked through my notes and the only thng i can think off which you can talk about is the who what where when etc

So who will recover the data, the best time to recover that data, how important the data was etc ....

I'm not sure though

What topics do you think are most probably going to come up on section B?

My guess:

*Ict strategy
*System dev life cycle
*Investigation techniques
*Something to do with future technology and impacts of it
*ICT systems
*External and Internal services
*Something to do with organisation structures and management

Its best to go over the whole unit as Section B is random and hard to predict

If they ask a question regarding installation methods it will mostly likely be anywhere between 8-16 marks

Heres how you should answer it

Name the method( 1 mark )
explain what it is ( 1 mark )
Further explanation ( 1 mark )
Pro of this method ( 1 mark )
Con ( 1 mark )

Its best to know a minimum of 2 maybe 3 pros and cons of each method

what comes under ICT strategy again?

-Internal factors that influence a strategy: business goals, legacy systems, finance, characteristics of client, business fulfillment,
-External factors: Agreeing with legislation,
-Management of information assets
-Procurement policies, technology life cycle,

Basically how to manage everything in a business by using a strategy (plan)

Another advantage maybe. Large amount of space to store large amounts of data. Idk could be something logically anyway i suppose.

"We have already started work on merging the two ICT administration systems. As a temporary first step, we will use a data warehouse to give the appearance of one system"

Can someone please in plain english explain what a data warehouse is, and what does it mean 'to give the appearance of one system?'

Tried googling data warehouse and all i get is complex high tech answers.
Thanks!

A data warehouse is a storage facility for large quantities of data. Not sure about the other bit, sorry.
