Hi, I'm an applicant for 2017 entrance and was wondering if any of you guys could give some advice on the thread for this years applicants? I've been reading through and so have other students and some people have been comparing this to a bible, so your experience and views are good! Here's the link if anyone's interested:

aww! we can't really help with the written application stage since that's been handed in (obviously) but if you get an interview, i suppose my advice would be to appear interested and engaged with the games/discussions and make sure to talk passionately (and in a well-informed manner) during your interviews, especially when they ask you questions about your application. make sure to get enough sleep before the interviews so you're ready to get as involved as possible! and try and enjoy it - honestly, i loved assessment day so much. it was a little nerve-wracking, especially the interviews (though they may have changed that format, as i know your written application follows a different format), but i got to chat to some great people and reaffirm my commitment to the uwc movement. good luck)
p.s. if you have more questions feel free to message me!

Hi, thank you for replying! I'm kinda on edge about it; I really really want to go, but I don't think I got in. I can't believe the application went off two weeks ago, it feels like two months! I keep trying to think positively, but I don't think I wrote well enough... People on here talk about the amazing things they do, and I've done nothing like that! We had to talk in detail about one activity we do and how it incorporates the UWC values, and I wrote about that I do Army cadets. I'm worried I didn't write what they are looking for, but when I wrote that I wrote the truth. I love doing it and it's more international than people think, as there are trip opportunities and we learn about how the army helps in other countries, as we're part of the Royal Engineers. We had to list other activities and hobbies, so I listed scouts, sewing and MUN, but I'm worried I didn't come off looking very good. I'm hoping my references can tell the committee a bit more about what I'm like. Do they ask everybody's references or just selected people's?

Hey guys, I applied through UWCGB and haven't heard back yet, even though it's the last day of November. A little on edge, anyone else in the same situation?
