Here's some photos of me: (although i'm not happy with my figure i wouldn't go to the extremes as some of the people in this thread with their disgust). Feel free to criticize...i think stick thin people are repulsive and i know A LOT of people who agree.
EDIT: ha i'm pulling horrendous faces in these but hey!
Thanks for your pos. comment, and i looked at the pics, your still skinnier than me, but there's loads of different size 16's, e.g. your boobs are bigger than mine, but my ass is much bigger than yours, which is why i must wear size 16 jeans lol. ps Your b/f's lucky

I think some people will never be happy no matter what size they are. I used to be a size 12/14 about 4 years ago, I worked really hard and got myself down to a size 6/8 and I still wasnt happy. Im no way naturally meant to be that size so I slowly got to a size 8/10 and have to work hard to just maintain this, im not naturally meant to be small, but I make myself small and am still not happy.
I think its just the way we are, we always want to be better[not just in looks] and I guess its natural to feel this way, even the most perfect person in the world could pick faults with themselves. People need to try and be happy with themselves, but I know thats easier said than done.
No one can say yes a size 16 is sexy, or no its disgusting because we all like and are attracted to different things. Theres no answer to these types of questions.
Thats just my opinion really.
"set points"

you need to stay at a certain weight for a damn long time [few months to few years] before your body decides THIS is the new you

you can change your 'natural' size.

just a long process

Im really unlucky as I have large ribs so they will always stick out, you cant really see in the picture i posted earlier, but for me I prefer being thin whether I look good or not. I understand some girls look better bigger, but not overweight but maybe we just have different ideas of what overweight is. I dont mean a little overhang, I mean very overweight girls, and guys who go to clubs purley to find overweight girls seems a little odd to me.

I dont think fetishes are a bad thing, I would consider my love for muscle a fetish. To be crude, if you search for fat porn, to me is a fetish, however I can understand some guys just prefer chubby girls. Im just trying to tell OP that some guys will find her sexy, but the majority prefer a thinner frame.
I see what you mean, but saying that being thinner means you are more likely to find someone is still untrue, and quite irresponsible. Perhaps it's not about being fat or skinny for many people, but having a figure that "fits"? Some girls might look better with a larger figure, which gives them a lovely body shape, whereas some women might look better at a more slender size. I've found that to be true, actually.

lose the weight. putting it bluntly weighing 12.7 stone and being only 5'5 is quite a bit overweight. you'll feel better and be healthier and probably be more attractive so you might as well just go for it.

Also - i have big hips, and am size 16 jeans..jeans sizes seem so far from each other in comparison to like dresses or something. I can't wait till i can fit into smaller jeans i wanna diet for the summer and hope to be comfortable by september when i go to norway, woop!

I totally disagree, I was that size [6] for over a year or something, my hip bones and rib cage are massive anyways, but I looked like an actual skeleton, my bones were sticking out so far it was not natural. My bones stick out a lot even now at a size 8/10, I have a tiny waist but my hips get more boney but neverrr shrink so I dont believe I can change their natural size=/

Its down to personal preference, but I do believe its true that the majority of guys prefer slim girls, and im not talking skinny remember, sort of keeley hazel fat levels. For me, a flat, toned stomach on a girl is the sexiest feature, which is maybe why my opinion on this is clouded. I dont believe any girl looks better 3 stone overweight for example rather than 1/2 stone.

Honest answer: your too big. There will be people that like girls who are a size 16, but the majority will prefer a thiner model. This is just how society seems to work, and almost everyone strives to be lean and healthy.

Honest advice: do what you want to do. If you feel uncomfortable about your body, then perhaps try and lose some weight. Losing weight doesn't have to mean you have to stop eating, it just means you eat more healthy food. Perhaps think about altering your diet to include more vegetables, fruit, and less fatty food. If you feel fine with your body, then what is the problem? Forget about what other people think, if your happy, then thats the most important thing. I am sure a lot of models constantly worry about their figure, and this mood influences people around them. I would rather be happy and eat what I want, than be unhappy and starving.

Well clothes like that are going to make you look way bigger than you are anyway.

Do you know what it is?

People often don't have an issue with WHAT I say

it's how I explain things

it's on line with what a lot have said but I get stick cos I rant more/be more blunt
Being blunt is good. People shouldn't ask if they don't want the truth. Often people ask these questions on the internet, because no one in real life will give them a truthful answer.

Lose weight to make you feel better - you don't look strikingly fat/ chubby though.

At least you're not short and stubby like me because I'm very petite and gone from a size 8 to a 10 and it doesn't look good at all.

Well it's better than beating around the bush to make people feel better about themselves. They need to be told how it is and it's good you are blunt sometimes. Can be a good motivating tool for people.
