How did people get the cartesian equation from parametric? I couldn't get x-3 in the denominator
you had to find a common denominator as you could get an expression with 3 terms one with x-3 on the bottom.
2. Ngl I thought this paper was ok, apart from the last part of the vector question which I suspect I messed up and the second part of the last question which I totally messed up.
3. is integrating a^x even on the spec?
4. (Original post by unreasonableman)
Yes, I ballsed up the differentials question but hopefully I will have gained the marks everyone else lost on the the substitution. 13pi/ln3 anyone else?
Yayyy I got this I also messed up the DE question on part c), didnt realise it was in thousands
5. i did

Not a bad exam at all! Last question was a little tricky. For the question which asks for your answer in terms of ln2, did anyone get a quadratic in terms of ln2?
6. was i the only one who found most of it hard o-o i only fully answered like 3 out of the 8 q's and some parts of the others. I didn't even attempt the vectors one ;-;
7. Am I the only one... who thought it was alright?
8. F*cked up q8 and q6
and last part of q7

evrything else was ok

is integrating a^x even on the spec?
Yup, pretty much never comes up though. It really sucks if you aren't prepared for it
10. for the ln2 question, did anyone get 32(ln2 square)-32ln2+12 ??

Am I the only one... who thought it was alright?
Yes

Am I the only one... who thought it was alright?
It was fine: exam pressure throws everyone into thinking it's hard...
13. Guys. I couldn't solve the one where P is 4000. My Sin2t was over 1....
14. (Original post by cfcdrog)
I think it was x^2 +2x-5 all over x-3...anyone got that?
Yes I got this
15. how do you integrate a^x !?!?!?

for the ln2 question, did anyone get 32(ln2 square)-32ln2+12 ??
Yes!

I used radians because I thought that calculus with trig functions only worked with radians. I'm not sure if that's the right thing to do though.
Sorry, can't stop quoting you!

Guys. I couldn't solve the one where P is 4000. My Sin2t was over 1....
You probably used 4000 instead of 4 (P was in thousands)

P was 4
It was in thousands...
