I got 31.82 for angle and something like 7.46 for the length, basically 10root2 times the sine of the angle
Sounding good!
2. (Original post by anndz3007)
for the ln2 question, did anyone get 32(ln2 square)-32ln2+12 ??
I got same but + 16 instead of +12.. I guess I've lost 1 mark there

Also what did people get as the distance on the vector question, think I did a different method to everyone else.. I got 7.46 or 7 something anyway.

edit: just seen above, hopefully it's right then . 1 whole page for 3 marks oops anyway should be full marks. I put x as the closest point and worked out |b-x|

There are 01 and 01R papers
There aren't any R papers this year.
4. (Original post by bwr19)
Yes!
I had this but didn't think ln square was a thing so crossed it out
5. (Original post by sofied)
yes! what did you get?
I got 32(ln2)^2 - 32ln2 + 12, I checked it with a trapezium rule so I'm pretty sure it's right! I might have got the signs wrong but it was something like that
6. (Original post by sofied)
I got 32(ln2)^2 -32ln2 +12 or something like that, sound familiar?
Yep, looks familiar. We should be ok!
7. For the last vector question, the length one I got 10sqrt(2)sin31.82 =~ 7.46
8. (Original post by anndz3007)
for the ln2 question, did anyone get 32(ln2 square)-32ln2+12 ??
Yep.

Well I'm doing Further Maths and STEP if that helps... So maybe I'm not the best person to ask...
I can see people struggling with the last question but I honestly did think, apart from that one, it was an "ok paper".
I'd say C3 was more challenging compared to an average C3 paper, than this was challenging compared to an average C4 paper (if you get what I mean).
hope so
thanks
10. (Original post by bwr19)
What was 6b?
yep
11. Who else got a= 2 and b= -5 for that question with (x-3) on the bottom?
12. (Original post by rory58824)
Not a bad exam at all! Last question was a little tricky. For the question which asks for your answer in terms of ln2, did anyone get a quadratic in terms of ln2?
I did. Were we supposed to leave (4ln(2))^2 in terms of (ln(2))^2? I went round in circles trying to square ln(2).
13. 80 UMS at 63 marks I think, 90 UMS will be 67.

Was there a mistake on the paper? Question 7c in particular - you had to find the time at which the population exceeded 4000.

I don't think so. Did you read that P was the population in thousands, so P=4 not 4000.

you are CORRECT!
16. Did ANYONE. Get 12pi/ln3 for the last question please guys

17. I know I made so many awful mistakes on that paper... None of my answers even made sense let alone looked right...

Dont know if there was a mistake, but it seemed to me there was one
20. Quite an easy paper actually, I think the grade boundaries will be high.

Did anybody get 0.47 something for the time exceeding 4000, using radians mode on the calculator?
