Would be more of a waste if Ospina or Szczesny didn't even make the bench imo

Either way, Coq is yet another home grown product of the Arsenal.

Guess Chelsea still have Terry in the last 50 years.

    Club with a soul, Chelsea.
You signed him when he was 17.

It's incredibly weird to think that Pique and Pogba played for us.

We were never keeping Pique long term but the Pogba situation is arguably Fergie's worst decision.

Would people be saying that if he didn't end up becoming world class?

Obviously with hindsight it's a ridiculous decision, but he was right to get rid of him at the time.

Well that's the whole point. It didn't appear stupid at the time but it was as we now know.

It's the same as signing Vidic for £6m or whatever wasn't a particularly good deal at the time but turned out being an amazing bargain. And we praise Fergie for that signing rightly so so it works both ways.

Still remember a fair number of people wanting Evra & Vidic out after their first 6 months....

£10.9m quite a good fee. Don't care what people say about it being expensive or not, it's a positon we've lacked a world class player in for years and it's ultimately going to save us a ton of points for the future.

Even if he doesn't play into his 40's, 2 or 3 seasons from Cech at/near his best will still be a lot more then what we've had with Schezny/Ospina/Fabianski and Almunia
