Guys, what was the x coordinate , i got 2- 1/ln3

I got ln(9) - 1/ln( 3)

And for the height of the cone . 1/ln(3
)

I can't remember. I think I got something like root3/2 + 4pi/3 :/ don't know. Anyone else? Obviously we got something similar.

Hoping my mistakes were a minimal .. need around 97 UMS to counter my terrible c3 exam.

Yeah the substitution answer was root3/2 + 4pi/3

Rings a bell! for the volume of revolution I got 13pi / ln3, any confirmation? :smile:

You are correct my friend
Would the answer for years be in radians or degrees? Wouldn't it depend on the species of animal and how fast they reproduced

naah you probably didn't, many people got 32(ln2)^2 somethign something :smile:

Im pretty sure it was a quadratic in ln - 32(ln)^2 - 32ln2 + 12 maybe ?
I also got k as 4
And for the quadratic equation / (x-3) or something, I got a = 2 and b = -5

Did anyone else get 7.75 (think that was my answer) for the shortest length on the vector Q?

i got this too
Barely had enough time to do Q9, I nearly missed it!
i'm kind of proud because i struggled a lot with vectors and actually felt i got that one right! but the rest of the paper was terrible.

K=2

I got K as 2 - took 4 out of the equation as a factor, however it was still rooted giving 2 as the constant
wasn't y=+-4

I got 31.8 degrees as the acute angle on the vector question and 7.46cm as the shortest distance from B to l1.

same!
