got any advice for those of us starting in october?
Go to all lectures and prac classes, start work when it is set, revise well.

Get a good work/social life balance and you'll be sound.

Not sure yet, all I have really been told so far is that i'll spend 2 weeks in each discipline, and then choose one to spend the rest of placement working in.

Clinical chem is my first choice.

    you can apply
its a degree in a relevant area

    different
from what I can tell a more wider area of work
    more pay

you need a 2.1 to do that

I passed my first year of uni without any resits but I did find the harder theories more difficult to get my head round like (like different stuff in the brain, parts of the lymphatic system and a lot of topics in biochemistry).

So would it be good a idea to get the ball rolling now and look over the modules/ topics now before I start in October. plus the books I used for my modules (anatomy and physiology, biochemistry, biology of the cell/ microbiology) in the first year will I still need those or can I just sell them on?

Hey, thanks! I get my AS results two weeks today :/ and if they're good enough then I'm hoping I can apply to Oxford, UCL and Royal Holloway- don't have a clue which other two universities I might apply to yet... Which university are you starting in September?

Have you been to see them at Open Days? It's down to your choice in the end, which one has the best accommodation, facilities, nightlife, student rep? Are you applying for 2012 entry? If so, then why not add all those options to your UCAS application?
