for people getting upset about this; don't.

students aren't meant to get their results yet - those who have are lucky, but you can't be annoyed or get annoyed at ucas because they're not available now. if it were this time tomorrow and it wasn't working, then maybe.

When they first ate track this evening, I was like WHAT, NO, PUT IT BACK. It's like a security blanket, I swear.

Past performances suggest that even later on today there will be trouble.
so do people think that its true if it said you'd got in. Or is it more likley a glitch. I am really confused.
Relating to the link given to track, how can a correct URL begin with https and not http?
Thats what I said. They were testing the server. The databases could have been 'off' at the time.. giving a true result for each entry..
linguist786
they opened the servers at that time coz they thought it'd be quiet

Didn't they learn from 2 years ago when the moment it went live at midnight it was ambushed.

HTTP = Hypertext Transfer Protocol
HTTPS = Hypertext Transfer Protocol (Secured)

Basically its encrypted so no-one else can see your details over a network :smile:

This is the second time i've done this

Last year i went to pick up the results. I failed completely and i still remember it as one of the worst experiences of my life. I recall sitting on some stone steps not able to breathe etc... (It was a REALLY bad fail) HOWEVER - i took a gap year, got a job, and have had more fun than ever and have had MONEY to spend! I realised the world that exists outside of uni and school and i really like it! Now i'm going to uni with a clear look to the future. I recommend a gap year fully and if things don't work out the way you wanted them to then don't worry because there are SO many other things out there to do!

You would certainly HOPE it was httpS! That's http Secure as opposed to regular flavoured http. Kind of like the protocol for shopping and banking.

Neither Google's or Yahoo's cache has the old version of the UCAS Track page (the on e with the text fields for your application number, username and password though they did about 30 minutes ago :frown: It never worked then either though.

Read the thread. Many people on this forum have used track just now to find out they have been unsuccessful.
