Nothing conclusive, but I've heard from one person who lives there and he enjoys it.
The rest is just TSR I suppose.
So you'll stay put at SW then?

Yes definitely. TBH it's the only hall I can afford in London .
I've got a Cambridge offer too though, so I might choose to go there instead. I am not completely sure yet.

As far as I know this doesn't occur at LSE. It definitely doesn't on my program/any of the classes that I take but I couldn't guarantee that it doesn't anywhere else, but I've not heard of that being the case.

http://www.lse.ac.uk/resources/calen...ergraduate.htm

For a lot of modules on that link, they indicate the breakdown of results.

I'm at Rosebery, I tend to sit down with the same people most nights simply because they're my closest friends. That said, there's only 350 people in the hall and you tend to know most of them. If I go down to dinner and I'm on my own, I'll plonk myself down to someone and start chatting - it's nbd.

Also, I'm a couple of years older than the average undergrad. Never been a problem.
Brilliant. Thanks for all the help Feeling super relieved right about now.

Hi! Would anyone know how the lower ground floor rooms in Lilian Knowles are? What do they mean by limited view? Also, how is Lilian Knowles as a hall overall?

I will be studying for a PhD at SOAS this coming semester. I am interested in applying for a room at Lillian Penson Hall. May I ask what's the application procedure like? I've already registered at Sanctuary Students. What's next? And when will I know the application results? Thank you.

Hey!

Could you please tell me of good private student halls in London? Lillian Penson is kind of expensive, has no kitchen facilities and is really far away from LSE. Any private hall that provides accommodation in the range of 120-170 per week would be great. I want an en-suite room with shared kitchen facilities.

Do you get a specific mark and grade in the first year, or is it just pass/fail? And if yes, do you refer to it when applying for internships?

Also, how much does each year contribute to the overall mark?

Yeah you get percentage out of 100 for every module you take. Some companies require you to enter your 'cumulative' mark, which is just the average you got the year before, but not all do.

Year 1: 1/9 (you typically do 4 modules and the average of your top 3 make up the year's score)
Year 2: 4/9
Year 3: 4/9

I have got an accommodation at Sidney Webb House. I want to know more about this hall. The rooms look great. How safe is the area around. Everybody has been talking about the safety around Sidney webb.
Thank you.

Hello!

I am starting my postgrad at LSE this year.

I was wondering if someone could perhaps suggest a private student hall in London for me? I want it to be somewhere safe, nice and not more than 40 minutes walk away from LSE. I want a studio and my range is between 270 and 310 pounds per week.
So far, I have shortlisted
1. Tuffnel House,
2. Pure Bankside and
3. Urbanest Hoxton.

But this is based purely on my searches on the internet which I am not too confident about. Would really appreciate some help.

Thank you.
