# Edexcel A2 C4 Mathematics June 2015 - Official Thread watch

1. I thought it was an average paper not too hard not too easy. The algebra was a bit messy at times though especially on the last one with x=2ln3-1/ln3 lol
2. K=4 because when you brought the 2cosø (from changing to dø) inside the root it became 4cos^2ø and it was multiplied by 4cos^2ø to give you 16cos^4ø which when rooted gives you 4cos^2ø so k=4

For the question where you had to find the years if the population is 4000. What if you left your answer as degrees? So 27 years or something like that...?
When the population was 4000, P=4 (measured in thousands) so its was under one year (can't remember my exact answer).

Oh good!! I think it might be right as a few people have got that, it worked out very nicely and was about the right amount of working for the amount of marks

16. Guys for the last question 8b - I Worked out the volume of the cone correctly (27 pi / ln(3) but for some reason worked out the area of the curve instead of volume ._.

How many marks would I lose?
