Yeah, I know. Only apparently "provisional". Do you know how provisional marks tend to differ from your proper ones?
Unless the university really ducked up then they don't.

Trying (and failing) to do geometry and motion. I want to die in a fire.

How have you got so much rep? Too much me thinks.
Negged for having too much rep! That's my favourite so far, better than all the negs for my username.

Have you bulk bought 15 thousand pens?
I was in fact thinking of obtaining new pens just before I refeshed. But pens are expensive so I have to consider ways of getting cheaper ones. Like free pencils but with pens.

Yeah I'm gathering materials so I can get out a plastic folder with maps of Zeeman and I've obtained the eating @ Warwick leaflet that they gave out.

Oh, I just remembered the pack of blue-black pens which, if you may recall in one of my previous posts on this forum, can smudge for hours after I've written on the paper finally works on the new paper that I bought. Yeah. Before you say it Kath, MLIA

I can finally use the remaining 72 pens that I bought (in bulk) last year.

Wow. Just wow.

In other news, both my Vector Calculus and GRM supervisors decided to take exactly the same excursion into the realm of de Rham cohomology today, but from completely opposite angles.

Strangely the name isn't really well chosen in that maths is hardly discussed at any length.

You are doing de Rham cohomology? but I thought that was third year material?

What the hell is a de Rham cohomology?

I'm not doing de Rham cohomology, just my supervisors decided to discuss it to give some "deeper" context for what we're studying at the moment.

I know what it is. Well, in mathematics, de Rham cohomology (after Georges de Rham) is a tool belonging both to algebraic topology and to differential topology, capable of expressing basic topological information about smooth manifolds in a form particularly adapted to computation and the concrete representation of cohomology classes. It is a cohomology theory based on the existence of differential forms with prescribed properties. It is in different, definite senses dual both to singular homology, and to Alexander-Spanier cohomology.

Simples.

My friend just showed me an absolutely slick proof for one of the examples sheets questions (he burst into the kitchen and yelled 'I have a proof so slick you'll jizz in your pants').

it was and i did
