OK I have a question about AQA geography. I have just done the AS exam and an A is 63% which to me is really low. Is this the same for the A2 or is it much higher?

I was super nervous for AS results, but in reality you shouldn't be, I mean they're very important but you can always retake modules. A2 is where **** gets serious, and I'm feeling it!
Yh truee, but my parents cant afford to pay for all my retakes , so i take every exam as my last really , even if i did flop 1-2 papers i could pay for it , but when retakes in our school are £30 - £35 , its really hard :/

Just look at the grade boundaries online - google ' AQA GCE grade boundaries [june/jan] [20xx] ' and you'll get an idea of what common grade boundaries are like.

    :awesome:

I already filled my other options though unless I replace Geography. Then I'd have Physics, Chemistry, French and Spanish (and maths and f.maths)

Grammar wise I'll be in better form than GCSE, but I won't know much vocab or have speaking practise ..
    Oh that would be a nice combo! 2 x maths, 2 x sciences, 2 x languages!

A level speaking (especially AS) is so superficial- there are certain phrases that examiners want you to use, it's soul destroying almost. And you get taught all vocabulary you need, a good vocab book is 'Palabra por Palabra' it has all the A level vocab and goes beyond it!

    Bear in mind this also

Yup a region is one of the cultural options available at A2! I didn't do it myself though, I studied a playwright and a film director. It was great fun and essays at A2 are based on either one of your two cultural options- you can choose which one you want to write about in the exam.

Yeah I did thanks for the advice but it is only 62% for an A am I mad or is this incredibly low. Well it is this low on the most important units I.E. 1 and 3. Unit 2 is 70% and unit 4 is 65% please tell me whether this means it is really easier to got an A or does it mean that they mark harshly.

The character who used the name PythianLegume was genetically engineered to be the most intelligent person on Earth...he wasn't an actual bean, he was just called Bean :P

It probably means they mark harshly. For my English Lit AS, the grade for an A was about 55/60%, and the boundaries for essay subjects rarely go above 70% - it's because there is no correct answer, and they want to leave it open for top marks. Grade boundaries show very little about how easy a subject is.
