You are right. That was just stupid. Hopefully they will treat 'renal' as neutral... but I don't know. I hope I don't lose two marks.
That whole section was the section that cost me the most marks, I think.
that question was only one mark :P
yeeh probs treat as neutral - they do that a lot :yep:

But the place where X was marked was not bi phosphate instead hexose phosphate only . i.e on phosphate group attached.
If I recall correctly (it's blurry now since it was hours ago), the arrow was pointing to the stage between hexose phosphate and hexose bisphosphate, which would be phosphorylation i.e. phosphate is added from ATP. If the arrow had been further down (the stage between TP and Pyruvate, then the answer would have been ADP, as it's input to create ATP). Judging by the amount of people who agree with this, perhaps just admit there's a slight chance you're wrong? :p:

anyways for the diabeti question what is type 1

i said type 1 is caused by lack of insulin in the blood when beta-cells cannot produce and secrete insulin.

2 factors that causes type 2:

    - If you are from afro-carribean descent
    - obesity
    - ageing

Nah, it 24th Feb. For a long time, I thought it was 24th Jan (lost the letter confirming the interview for a while), until I realised that 24th Jan was a Sunday...
