SNP wouldn't need Labour. They're two off a majority. Probably won't even need the Greens as it's unlikely that every single MSP will vote against the Scottish government

They'd be idiots if they went with Labour. They do not need a coalition

Of course and he also follows the wonderful religion of Islam ...... Not like he has shared a platform with an Islamic extremist or anything

Lord Falconer seems to be trying to lay some blame for Labour's poor Scotland results on the EU referendum...

Lib Dems decimated in Wales. Poor night for us there.

Scotland was as expected in terms of seats, though it was nice to win two off the SNP.

London is probably too soon to judge. Will be interesting to see if we are and how far we are behind the Greens in terms of the mayoralty.

Fairly happy with the council elections. Building from the grassroots and up has always been our target, and we're starting to see little signs of progress in plenty of councils.

Very interesting results today - interesting that the SNP have made losses in Scotland, albeit small. It follows that either at least a bit of their vote must have switched to the Tories or the SNP rampage is beginning to slow down. It will be very interesting to see the margin by which Khan wins in London today.

The Tory campaign has only helped Khan these last few weeks. I can't see it being close.

Hate to say it, but it's probably time for Corbyn to go. I voted for him, but his background and absurd views on foreign policy are probably too much for voters to handle. Ideally, there would be someone parachuted in who was economically similar or to the left of Corbyn, but was otherwise essentially an English Trudeau, don't think any Labour MP is like that unfortunately...

Still don't think the Tories will be 2nd? I did say it could happen- it has.

Fantastic victory for the SNP, can't see Labour making a come back for 2020 in Scotland.
OK, OK, OK... I was wrong.

I voted for him too, but not because I thought he was electable. I assumed he would probably be replaced after a couple of years, but like you I am not entirely sure who I would want to replace him with. Inevitably any candidate capable of winning an election won't be somebody I'm enamoured with, but the pragmatist in me is fine with that. I certainly don't think any of the losing candidates could win an election. Chuka could, possibly Benn.

Fantastic news in Scotland :woo: Official Conservative Opposition
Just need to grab the popcorn and sit back and watch the mess in the Labour Party unfold into chaos
    #LabouroutCorbynOut
Are you flippin' crazy? Corbyn needs to stay. We should be encouraging him to stay, not go!

Very happy for UKIP in Wales, but not for Hamilton and Reckless. Those should never been allowed to stand.

Or maybe not, after the last 24 hours.

Carwyn Jones is being compared to Cameron and quite rightly so. Nobody is massively enthusiastic about Carwyn as FM, but he's a safe enough pair of hands and he'll do.

Have to say Ruth Davidson seems to be a great MP and always make very good arguments. Probably my favourite Tory.
