Nah, should have rephrased it :p: I meant mock exam of F214. I need to revise some certain units again.

Do we have to know the full name of the enzyme in the calvin cycle or can we just call it rubisco?

full name. but i think rubisco is acceptable.

on page 65 examiner tips here is what it says:

"When writing about chemicals in the Calvin Cycle, use the full name first, show the abbreviation, and then use the abbreviation for all further references to that chemical"

Rubisco is the abbreviation for Ribulose biphosphate carboxylase-oxgenase lol

I am never going to get that in my head. Never.

EDIT: Do you have to put 1-5 in front of the biphosphate?

EDIT AGAIN! : Do you think that applies to things like (when talking about prenancy testing) human chorionic gonadotropin instead of hCG as well?

if thats the case then we should also know about cytochrome c and plastoquinone in the electron trasport chain in plants.

if we want to go in greater detail.

You can call it Rubisco Bisphosphate then abbreviate it to RuBP.

yh we dont...but i like abit of background knowledge

and wher it says examiner tip on page 65, i think its referring to (TP) triose phosphate and glycerate 3 phosphate (G3P) not rubisco....because its the words in bold we need to remember....Can any one clarify???
