Computing and I.T., ironically both subjects I chose to take. If you told me in Year 9 - or indeed the start of Year 10 - that I would take neither to A-Level, I'd be referring you to a psychiatrist.

Academically Computing was very enjoyable. My school's Department of Computing and I.T. is a complete shambles, however, and is horrendously disorganised. We spent four months in Year 10 programming in Python, before starting a coursework project in App Inventor (side note: what a horrible piece of software!!!) which lasted until the end of the year. A second coursework project - this time in Python - was started in Year 11, and lasted until Easter. Theory content was taught in the two weeks before the exam by setting us homework to read chapters in the textbook.

Somehow, I managed to get A*s in both pieces of coursework, but had to self-teach most of the course.

My I.T. teacher was more organised, but thanks to a class who chose I.T. to lay about for an hour rather than to actually do any work, struggled to actually teach anything. I ended up teaching most people, and doing quite a bit of their coursework for them...

So if ever you wonder exactly how much of an effect a teacher can have on you, there's your answer!

So yeah... I'm dropping both for A-Level, and I'm quite pleased about it!

English was absolute hell, which I was quite angry about given how much I love reading.

Geography because it was the absolute bane of my life

Although I didn't take it for GCSE, I'm glad I'll never have to be forced to do PE anymore

Maths (even though I will probably have to resist it),
Drama (because I am an anxious, shy mess)
and Spanish (because it is stressful and I don't need it for MY future).

English. If I don't pass this years retake I will literally break down and cry. My tutors don't think I will, in fact they think I've done fantastically. But I'm a pessimist at heart so...

English, it was so painful just having to repeat everything over and over for structuring! And art there was just so much work, but I'm still stuck with that one.
