    Arsenal signings last two seasons:

Sanogo, Flamini, Ozil, Sanchez, Chambers, Welbeck, Debuchy, Ospina, Chambers, Paulista, Bielik

That lot cost £150m and I don't see much ''established quality'' there apart from the obvious two. Most of them are the same type of player that Wenger has always gone for. I have no doubt that he'll leave a fantastic squad for whoever succeeds him but there's still a lot of work to do. Is a defensive unit containing Ospina, Bellerin, Gibbs, Mertesacker & Coquelin good enough to compete for the Premier League and Champions League? Not even close.

    You've named Chambers twice.

Sanogo/Chambers and Bielik were not signed to play for the first team
Ospina Flamini and Paulista were not signed to start every game. I'd argue Ospina and Paulista are sufficient quality to be back up but the way Schezny as plummeted he's our first choice now. No one can blame Wenger for going into a season with Schezny as the first keeper after his great season last year. The Welbeck signing was pityful however but it was a last minute decision on an injured Giroud?

Having said that I don't think his transfer policy is going to change.

Wenger's plan was always to develop our own talent mainly and then supplement them with international quality. Wenger is trying to build a squad that can challenge is all. I honestly wonder what level the likes of Ramsey, Wilshere, Gibbs, Welbeck, Theo, Ox and even Akpom, Woj and Gnabry to an extent will be at on the verge of Wenger's last year of his contract. We should have a very strong team with leaders and experience really.
I think you have too much faith in Wenger's ability to develop average players into great ones, tbh. Gibbs is pretty much at his peak, Ramsey has gone backwards from his peak, Wilshere will always be too injured to reach his peak, Welbeck is crap and already at a team above his peak.

    And szczesney is just peak.

Rooney always seems to up his game against Arsenal . Wouldnt be surprised if he gets a goal or two.

I think you'll knock us out the FA cup in all honesty.

It must be that Apart from ozil and Sanchez, the rest of the arsenal squad are essentially "spice boys" I.e. Their wealth and lavish lifestyles don't match their ability to perform on the field

Hate the fact that we play on Sunday. Even if we win, it's annoying that Saturday could end in us being 5th again.
