Everybody seems to hate me irl for being so up myself and rude. I try to be likeable and as kind as possible to everyone, but it never comes across.

Why is it so hard to achieve?

I don't know what the root cause is, if you don't mind me asking why do you think you're up yourself and rude? So that maybe I could find out more.about your situation

Personally I don't make a massive impression in real life because I'm mega shy in every real life scenario, I do have a group of friends but except that I don't try too hard.

Perhaps you're trying too hard and look a bit fake to people? (not saying you are just suggesting this as a reason)

another reason could be jealousy, be it grades, attitude to work or how socialable/unsocialable you are

Or you're generally rude to people, as in name calling, talking behind backs and all of that other jazz.

I don't know what that last sentence means entirely in this context but I hope you feel better soon

To be honest, without meaning to sound conceited, the bolded bit is probably the most likely explanation. If someone is nice to me or helps me when I need it, I'll pretty much like them forever and would defend them to the hilt. A lot of the people I socialise with aren't interested in working hard, so I end up spending a lot of free time at college completing work or homework instead of sitting with them (long long long story, but they're not really nice people). So they see me as rude for not wanting to worship them like others do, and up myself due to the outcome of the studying. If I'm pleased with my result I'm rubbing it in, if I'm not then I'm still making them feel bad. It's a lose lose situation haha.

Do my actions sound rude to you? If they do then please say, I'll try to change them. I can't tell if it's me that's ruining their happiness or if it's the other way around.

You're not rude. To be honest, it just sounds like you have lousy friends I'd ditch them if they were my 'friends'.

Question. Do I stand a good chance at medicine if I did AS Biology in Year 13? (just curious)

you'd probably be competitive given your GCSEs and hopefully high AS results, you also need to take account of the UKCAT, PS and other things (work exp for example).

You'll be viewed collectively but your chosen subjects should be great for med as you have Chemistry I think most unis will take you

You'll be limited to where you can apply, but a few unis do only require biology to AS so you should be fine.
