Dundee are typically quite late in getting back re: offers, last few years it was mid-late March before anyone heard so I wouldn't hold your breath. They like to be thorough in making sure the interviews were fair. I could be wrong though

Yeah it says on Dundee's website late Feb/early March for this year so should be soon if they're on schedule

Has anyone got offers for medicine for dundee for 2016? I'm hoping to apply next year, and i would appreciate an indication of the interview process, their expectation on volunteering, and academic results! I would greatly appreciate it, thank you!

I think none of the Scottish Medical school have given out any offer yet, as they are still waiting for the SFC Announcement for "Intake targets and funded places for the controlled subjects of Dentistry and Medicine inuniversities for academic year 2016-17", which would normally come out sometime this week.

Hope this doesn't mean we have to wait until April... "The budget is indicative and cannot be finalised until the budget bill has been agreed by the Scottish Parliament which we expect to be in March 2016. There will also be additional ring-fenced funding for student places in controlled subjects (Medicine, Dentistry, Teacher Education and Nursing) yet to be finalised. We, therefore, plan to confirm the overall budget position and final outcome agreement allocations in April 2016."

Good lord you've done a lot! that must be more than double what I've done. well done! and I think you're in a very strong position, I don't think the Cs at GSCE would matter too much but you should check the uni websites. I don't remember anyone looking at your GCSEs though. all you need now is a strong UKCAT score and a strong personal statement; there are some good example ones on here to give you an idea.

that's a good point. I did a ridiculously small amount of work experience cos I couldn't get any placements and even I had trouble squeezing it in. I suppose this is where quality over quantity comes in.. but Iamflorence you could just choose a few of the ones you learned the most from and write about those.

    Yeah I totally agree Quantity<Quality
Don't worry about it just now, focus on your exams/UKCAT

Aberdeen have already started giving out Dentistry offers so I'm pretty sure we won't have to wait until April

So basically...the Scottish Funding Council still haven't released their intake and funding for controlled medicine intake...so until they do we can pretty much assume we won't hear anything because and all the medical schools won't know how many places they have to offer. But last week the Dentistry funding was released and Aberdeen basically gave out offers the next day...so fingers crossed
