I scored 29. Just in the not austic category. I reckon that's probably a little high but it reflects that I'm rubbish at socialising and totally unobservant!

Yeah, probably in that I show restraint in social interactions and know when it's appropriate to say something that only concerns me. Still really like collecting things and information and being alone though. And I still don't really read and have a hard time concentrating.

    27. I was diagnosed with the ""characteristics" when I was younger and I definitely have some of the symptoms cyrrently.
If it makes you feel any better I score 38 and have never had any such diagnosis (although my darling mother did used to tell me I had 7 out of the 8 signs of autism) :yeah:

I got 22, so I'm not autistic, but I've just been reminded that David Bowie is dead, so I am a bit sad.

If you're really wanting to see, look at the Baron Cohen Eyes in Mind test
Weird. I got 32 on that test, yet 38 on the Autism test. Guess I'm just a walking contradiction

I have noticed similar trends; most recently I got something like 42 or 43 on the Autism test but 34/36 on that test (assuming it is the same as this one http://socialintelligence.labinthewild.org/mite/). Also got very high scores in the "mindreading face-voice" tasks on http://www.aspietests.org/. Am apparently somehow below average both in systemizing and empathizing though..

Following on from How Narcissistic are YOU?, do you sometimes find yourself wondering: 'Am I a little autistic'? :teeth:

Autistic: characterised by difficulty in communicating and forming relationships with other people and in using language and abstract concepts

If you're unsure, perhaps try this short Autism / Asperger's Quiz. Having done so, please select the appropriate poll option as per your score:

    • NOT autistic: 0-29

    • POSSIBLY autistic: 30-33

    • LIKELY autistic: 34+

Feel free to post your score in the thread of course, and comment on how this differs from your expectations, if at all (mine didn’t)!
    Huh, surprising, I got 12.

Basically I have a high level of perfectionism. I place my work (read academics) over everything else including relationships. I like to have control over all aspects of my life, and when that fails things get messy. It's not OCD but I am obsessed to do things a certain way and I feel it compulsory to always stick to what I know.

It sounds all easy when I write it out but it's horrible in RL terms. Even more so when you're told you're extremely messed up by the professionals who are meant to be helping you.

Anyway on Tuesday it's more likely I will be diagnosed with a personality disorder not otherwise specificed. I hold symptoms of other personality disorders so much that they can't be ignored and sometimes overshadow my perfectionism.

I got 17, in a way I think I scored more as some of the questions bordered on anxiety more
Fair point. Perhaps one should answer controlling for other factors :beard:
