# The Super Juicy CURRENT YEAR 11 (2012-13) THREAD Mark V Watch

I hate it too, you aren't alone! Yeah I bookmarked it for some reading later!
Oh dear Surds.
Urm, well, this is the thing....no.

I had a question that was rationalising denominators and it involved multiplying out two sets of brackets and it was easy, I just can't do simple things...

Posted from TSR Mobile
Okay, we'll start off with basic rules:

the three lines means equivalent.

Same with subtraction.

Now to simplify a surd, we look for two numbers that multiply to make the number in the bracket. We want a square number and a non square number.

get it?

Hey I remember you said there were many FSMQ past papers online? I've tried looking for some older ones and I've find all of them from 2003-onwards - do you know of places where you can find papers earlier than that?
I don't think there are any before 2003. Aren't 10 years worth of past papers enough for you?

(Original post by emma.b)
And yeah Bude, what does make a good girl?
Guys, do you reckon race or skin colour or religion would come into it, or would that just be 'preferable'?
Haha, this varies from guy to guy but what I think is:

Patient
Humble
Kind hearted
Hard working
(Awesome accent )

Nope, tbh race or skin colour or religion doesn't really bother me, if I like them then I like them!

Btw, my Maths notes are amazing, if you'd like me to type them up then let me know (I can revise them on the way )

"SHE WANTS THE D?! YOU NEED GIRL WHO WANTS A!"

LOOKING AT YOUR SPOILER I UNDERSTAND NOW! That doesn't seem too hard at all!

I think I over complicate things...
Yes maths, I need to revise maths badly!

Basics of Surds are generally easy to grasp, if you practice often you'll get the hang of it.

Same, I 'only' got an A which caused disappointment for my parents.

"SHE WANTS THE D?! YOU NEED GIRL WHO WANTS A!"
Oh my god.

In reality, I'd probably be looking for someone who knows the importance of working hard (A or not), has a great personality and yes, an amazing accent.

I'm scared of maths - therefore it is my weakest and least practiced subject! I feel like a retard (excuse the language) compared to all of you!

My mum has realised a pass at higher tier is a struggle for me...

It can't just be me, but your handwriting somehow reflects your accent!

And yeah, that's right

See that's all well and good, but my accent is terrible!
That's the same with me! I guess it doesn't matter!
Thanks for the offer...I'm going to need some form of help in the next two months and that would be helpful!

Don't worry, Maths doesn't come to everyone quickly but with practice you'll soon find it really easy.

When it comes to maths, you can actually blame your teachers. Thankfully I have the most awesome guy ever teaching me maths '^'

I enjoy it a lot more, he explains everything clearly and his notes are amazing

I can rarely do my own work but when it comes to helping others
I guess this is win win because I revise as well from typing them up
Just let me know the topics you'd like to type up.

I have a man that is the ultimate pervert, has me at the front of his class and likes me to read out the questions to the class in my 'princess voice' (I was Snow White in the school play) because he thinks I sound nice!:L

He's also been off for the past 4 weeks and I swear I have never been taught as well in my life!

Yeah that's right! loving the message

Okay... Now shall we move onto rationalizing?

Basically if you have:

You want to get rid of the surds on the bottom. So you multiply top and bottom by the conjugate (basically just change the sign)
So you'd multiply top and bottom by:

RootC - d

Yeah?
