I got that as well but apparently some people used sin of 31.82 to work it out
Think you need to use sin rule?

Did anyone else use the sine rule for the shortest length vector question?
Yeaa! But a lot of people got 60 degrees and also 31.8 degrees so answers are going to vary..

I believe calculus requires radians, however, it is possible that the mark scheme accepts use of degrees. I, particularly, believe it will.
Even though you get a completely different answer (27 as opposed to 0.4)?

For the population one I originally did it in degrees but at the bottom of the page (in smaller yet legible writing) I wrote it out again in radians - will I drop marks? Every mark counts at this point...
If the person marking can see the correct working & answer you won't lose marks since they mark all attempts and the highest scoring one gets the marks.

I can't see why it would allow degrees, it is completely wrong
Upon second thought, you're right. My logic was that, because it was not directly stated, it would be acceptable. There is no reason why that would be true; I answered without thinking.

Yep, I had to stay at school. They couldn't have let me go, it's against exam rules.
