Ooooh it's nice in here. I do hope they serve Thatcher's.

I'm attempting to join the Conservatives (don't worry, despite the terrible joke I'm not a Thatcherite) and would really like to gain a seat. I'm looking to go into politics and I think this would be a nice opportunity to politicise my student-room trawling evenings.

Can anyone help?
Hello! Have you joined the party yet? (If yes, feel free to ignore the rest of this post - most people sensibly do that anyway ).

If you haven't, it would be great to have you on board. In my sig under this post (I'm hoping!) there should be a link to join the party. After that, one of our Leadership team will accept you and you can get stuck in and enjoy your time in the best party I'm currently Chairman of the Tories but I'm not sure I have the add/remove member power so you'll have to wait for either our leader or deputy, but I'm sure they'll be quick!

Also, nowt wrong wi being Thatcherite!! But don't worry if you're not, us Tories are a very broad party on here!

Hello, I suppose you're the Grant Shapps of TSR

Submitted a join request, but I'm yet to be accepted.

Nothing wrong at all, but I suppose I am a little more of a moderate.

Not at all. I'm more the Michael Green of the party I can also assure you, I've never edited my Wikipedia page. Though I did once get a 1 day ban from it for editing a page on there...

Ok, I'm sure they'll be along to accept soon.

Good to know. As I say, we're a very broad party so we've got plenty of people from all over the right of Centre standpoint

Nah, I'm afraid you've stuck in my mind as a particularly arrogant person.

Interesting. I've never been described as arrogant before. Any arrogance shown was probably an act. Or just a severe reaction to stupidity.

I think it's bad that when I hear news of a pipe bomb explosion or a hoax bomb or something similar it doesn't phase me. Northern Ireland is meant to be past all that, but nope, a mortar bomb explosion in Derry last night.

Tbh, I'd rather not have Europe ruin our economy.

I'd like to see a federalised UK. Devomax to N.I, Scotland, Wales and Cornwall, creating an English Parliament and Cornish Assembly, united under one Monarch or a President.

The EU is a bigger fish then the UK. Even then the EU isn't seen as a big fish so the UK being a small part of a small fish cant survive alone. A federal EU with an elected president and devo to states would be ideal

I dislike both these suggestions, but the first one marginally less.

They have nukes too. And a strobger economy

Posted from TSR Mobile
How are you defining power? If its just having nuclear weapons then the UK is in the top 5. If its economic power its top 10. If its political power its top 5.
