I think it's to do with contextual data i.e. bad school

It's their contextual offer. Apparently my sixth form is in the bottom 40% of the country for A-Level results.

I just got an AAB offer too but my school isn't in the bottom 40%. I checked their list and the school I currently go to isnt on it but the school I did my GCSEs at is, so that may be the reason.

5th March

That's the same as yours isn't it?

Congrats,

Wait how did you receive the e-mail 9 days before the actual open day? Its usually 15 days before the open day when they start e-mailing candidates.

I got to interview stages at Oxford Trinity College and received all my 4 other offers with 3A2's and didn't study FM so I would so no  if the rest of your application is strong.
I was predicted A*A*A*A if I took 4a2's and A was in Econ (cause I got a low 85%ums average due to stupid Econ 1), and wanted A* in Econ so I dropped chem and now predicted A*A*A*. So depends on your own circumstances if you want to take 4a2's or 3!

Can I ask a few questions:
- Average UMS at AS? - I want to be predicted 3A*s!!
- GCSEs?
- Where else did you apply and what for?
- Did you apply for E&M? Do you know why you didn't get in?

Answer what you are willing to! Thanks

Average UMS in Maths,Econ,Physics and Chem (AS): 90%
Gcses: 4A*'s 4A's 1B 1C (Attended a very poor highschool in one of worst educated cities in England)
Oxford and UCL were my first choices.
For E+M at Oxford on my interview feedback they basically said I had a strong academic profile with a supportive reference and that they say strengths in interview then saying I was a credible applicant for the place but that there were only 3 places for 49 applicant at Trinity College, I came in top 10 from 49 but not top 3. So I wasn't as strong as the top 3 is the reason I guess.
Hope this helps
