haha i was only trying to lighten up the TSR mood here but i got 6 negative ratings  but on a serious note they have grades on them (i dont think there are UMS). On the online results plus direct they have a gradometer where you can see how close you are to an A or A*. BTW what u expecting?
    Lool
    Tbh I don't know what I'm expecting...but definitely no Bs and Cs...hopefully a few A*s and As

    To Jatz07,

I also want to do medicine, though I'm a year older than you. Firstly, you don't need 5 A*'s, they ask for A*/A grades and it depends on the university. For example: biringham ask for 8 A*/A and I think leicester ask for about six, bristol five. I got five A*'s, two A's and two B's at GCSE. However, you need to focus on A-levels a lot more next year, as they are in some ways more important and much harder, it's easy to underestimate them because your GCSE's are fine. Try not to stress about results day, even though I know I did, as long as you tried your best and if you don't get the grades you need, then stop thinking about medicine now. The a-levels you have picked are good, but you'll have a lot of work so try and do four hours of independent study each week per subject to keep on top. Look carefully at your homework grades, if you aren't getting A's at the start of the year, then it's unlikely that you will in the actual exam. With work experience, I know actually where your coming from as my birthday is 30th August! Though keep trying and asking around everywhere. The universities will understand. I managed to get a job in a pharmacy, this has been great experience! Also, working generally in a caring environment is fine, for example, care homes etc. A open day that I went to the other day actually said the best personal statement they had either read, was about a boy who worked in mcdonald's!! Good luck, though bare it in mind that even if you work hard, you won't always get to where you'd like to be. (My friend who wanted to do medicine and got 4 A*'s at GCSE, 2 A's and 3 B's is starting her college course for nursing in september because she got D's in her january exams).

Praying my results will be good, I'm worried about a few exams and not only are the courses (and the career!) I'm thinking of unbelievably competitive, I'm also possibly looking at Oxbridge...argh! Going to have to work like hell next year. And if Psychology doesn't work out, switch it to Politics or maybe even History.

I KNOW. Did poll tax too honestly my heart said poll tax but my brain said one of the strikes mainly general which I bet will come up next year. I folded my test so I can write easier and was doing question four turned paper around wrote a whole page then realised that, that page was for question 3 so had to re write it.

    What's ResultsPlus Direct?

From the experience I've had with email validation, wait an hour or so, then find the 'Forgot Password' thing which should also send you an email, check your spam filter, then if none of that works re-register with a different email address. Could you have accidentally mistyped your email address?

    https://www.edexcel.com/resultsplus/...s/default.aspx

If your school uses it, you can use it to view your results online (for Edexcel) on results day in August.

Ah, that's quite cool! Though I only take Maths on Edexcel and I already know my grade for that from Mr M's markschemes
