Did everyone find that it was different to the past paper questions by far and they expected you do a lot more!
Definitely, suppose they wanted you to use calculator less

If all data is multiplied, standard deviation is also multiplied by that same scale factor.
If all data has a number added to it, standard deviation stays the same.
So you're meant to just multiply the standard deviation, not take away 32.

Exactly what I did

yea, that's the right formula for a. Did you get 0.6?

These are the numerical answers that I got in order..
There are probably many mistakes, so please feel free to re-post and correct!

I got 14 for the last part of Q3, and for the last part of Q6, you had to put your value to the power of 10, as it asked for the probability of all 10 being greater than 25

I wasn't saying you were wrong! I'm just saying what I did, no doubt knowing my luck 27 was correct!

Looks like I will be the first one to take a pop at the grade boundaries:

A :: 54raw
B :: 48raw
C :: 42raw
D :: 36raw
E :: 31raw

They are rather optimistic but I would say that was the hardest Stats 1b yet.
haha i hope there the grade boundaries! i reckon theyll be higher though

I am so relieved you said to the power of 10

Think they'll be lower than that. I'd say about 59ish for an A.
