Gurl i know exactly what you mean. The somali boys in my area make me feel really uncomfortable and I try to avoid them. But that might be because 99.5% of the ones in my area are 'gangster wannabees' and just ugh lol.
Yes!!! I am not alone, thats what I meant by 'westenised'- wannabe gangsters with chains, hats and baggy pants. Do you ever look past it though?

    High five!

I personally can't look past it but then again, I don't really talk to any of them. I went to a school where there were like 4/5 somalis in the whole year group and there were no somalis in my classes in college so i dont know. Its just that, if they talk to me in the street, I just ignore them. At one point, I was even put off the idea of marrying a somali guy because I thought (stereotypically) all of the somali boys are like this. Once I grew up, I matured and realised there are decent somali guys out there (the ones that actually attend uni and care about their future instead of standing outside gambling shops with baggy trousers for example) so all hope is not lost

May Allah guide them to the straight path.

I went to London once and I was shocked. Seeing some Somali guys and everyone single one of the wearing tracksuits and massive bubble like jackets on hot days with caps. I was like wow

She says the same thing repeatedly, it's soul destroying.

I mean.. exactly the same thing. No alterations whatsoever.

edit: morninglight don't be so steretypical. You assume just because my name is Abdul-Karim that I'm muslim and just because I'm muslim, I'm fasting. Stop making assumptions.
