Well, the problem is that calculus is always done in radian measure. You could theoretically use degrees, but you would have to deal with π/180 somewhere in the future of the calculation. Perhaps edexcel will be lenient and permit 'incorrect mathematics', but I am not sure. The correct answer is 0.4.
How many marks do you think I would lose by this mistake? Hopefully one right?

woah! That was hard, it was hard in the sense that the numbers we had to work with was complicated, for example, the budnaries were in log form and so was the x-cordinate in volume question. It was the same concept as past papers but the substituing numbers was tricky in this paper whihc is why for a couple of questions, I was only one step away from a answer but the working out was so complicated due to he boundaries I has to just leave it.
Almost everyone in my centre found it hard and some are ssaying their worst exam ever, I think time was a big factor as well. But nontheless, I did alright, should get method marks for where I left off answers one step away from a solution though. Hopefully get an A overall funny when two weeks ago, I was aiming for an a*.

These are all my solutions. sorry for the poor quality but should be still readable, should be -8ydy/dx for first line of Question 2. Also, the last question this year was extremely similar to last year's paper, question 7. If people think they lost marks then find the June 2014 mark scheme to determine how many marks you think you dropped

Well I somehow got 8.78 for the shortest distance in the vector question... Used tan of 31.82 and the length of AB, don't know how that could go wrong...
I used tan and I got 6.95 something? ah ****...

How many marks was the question? I believe you would lose the final accuracy mark since the method mark for taking the arcsine will still be provided. I concur with you; 1 mark.
