Take solace in having provided other people with happiness-albeit at your expense
    (*fingers crossed for you*)
It's time consuming, especially because my mind doesn't kick into gear until school starts. But my love for English is still strong, for now
I easily receive the most 'banter' in my peer group, so it's okay, I'm used to it.

Same here, I feel like I've forgotten everything I know about German.. Really don't see how you can like English.

You still haven't added me for AQA Geography.

Induction was terrible-I got really lost and teachers were telling me where to go and I still ended up nowhere. The Induction was really boring and I could hardly remember what they were saying and I am going to have to go through regular tuition sessions and they won't be just 10-15 minutes like Secondary School.College will probably be terrible and Maths and Further Maths won't be able to make up for it.Lots of homework already and this is just the start and loads of boring and completely and utterly pointless tuition sessions that have nothing to do with A-Levels-the next one in just over a weeks time will involve cutting up a magazine and making a poster.
sorry i'll add you now :P

Honestly, if it wasn't for the fact that my English teacher in Years 10 & 11 was such a great person as well as a teacher, there's no way I would have made it through To Kill A Mockingbird and The Crucible alive.

Its a perfectly good combination and will let you access all courses (providing you get AAA ofcourse )

which are you droping after AS ? as i believe english lit is regarded slightly higher than geography, but that shouldn't matter too much :holmes:
Thanks....people keep trying to tell me that I've got no chance without maths......

I'm not sure...I prefer English but am probably better at Geography. So I was going to see how the first year goes and then depending on how difficult english turns out to be I'll decide.

Are you going to apply to medicine?

True. Plus it seems to be a female subject, if that makes sense and without sounding too sexist..

Like, in my school, there were 6 English sets. I was in Set 1, and we had 32 people (8 of which - including me -were boys), and then Set 2 had 30 people (10 of which were boys)... Not sure if it was like that anywhere else, but the girls really did dominate the two highest English sets in my year... Am I making sense?

No, I can see where you're coming from. In our school the top set for subjects like Maths and hysics were dominated by boys (I think it was 7 girls including me and the rest were boys in a class of 32 )
