He is not acting as if the children are inferior to him, he is acting as if the state school is inferior to his school which it probably is. He has a very strong point about not wanting people to receive things for free which his parents have to pay for, just because his parents can afford to pay for them.

The only reason people partake in charity is because it makes them feel good about themselves after. Few people conduct charitable work, which makes them feel bad about themselves, on the basis their work makes difference.

Haha, I haven't said they are inferior to me, however unlike how you like to see it, this world is not, has never been, and never will be 100% equitable and fair. Maybe I am lucky I was born into a better off family, and maybe some families have worked hard, and just been unlucky. Other families, maybe just couldn't a rats ass about working and so deserve to be where they are... That doesn't mean they are inferior to me, just that my family can afford things others can't.

If I so wanted, I could afford to fly over to America and take a week's holiday - doesn't mean that just because I can, everyone else should be able to... It's what happens - it's life. Some are rich. Some are poor. Everyone else is in between. And actually, education is an investment. For the majority, the government are investing in education for children, which the benefits may or may not come out in later life. Solely my family are investing in me. If that investment produces more than the government's investment, then why the hell would I not take it... It'll potentially mean I earn enough to provide my children with the opportunity to go to private school. Like it or not, the world revolves around supply and demand, and using price rationing to allocate products. If private school places were so much lower, demand would be greater than supply, and then it'd eventually just become a state school system...

I am in a position, where I can afford lots of Apple products - others can't. I don't see you going around telling me I shouldn't have an Apple product because it's unfair to poorer.... In the same way that doesn't mean they are inferior. The product they have may be inferior to my Apple product - doesn't mean that person is inferior to me...

You know, usually people are grateful for someone doing charity work - voluntary or not... The vast majority of people do charity work to feel good - isn't that why they do it...
*lots of bragging about how rich you are which I'm gonna ignore*
we are the people of tomorrow, we don't have to accept the way the world is we have to change it and live in the world of tomorrow not yesteryear.

That is one of my big issues with charity, it has become like a cult which you have to do to make yourself look good or to make up for all your evil. That's not the point.

Revolution will not occur because of private schools.

Revolution will only occur when people realise the massive failings of Capitalism.

I forget that you are a leftist!!! That's so true. Capitism just doesn't work and needs to be eliminated.

I've been thinking more and more about its terrible points recently.

Take KFC for example. They make billions of dollars in profit each year - why on earth does a company need that much profit?

It only serves to help the already wealthy share holders. Yet the workers, who are at the bottom of the pile, might be lucky to get an extra 20p an hour! It makes me sick. This is the fatal flaw in Capitalism and the sooner more people realise this the better.

The workers need to realise that they have the power. If they don't work the company won't make money - simple.

I'm in Unite the Union atm and I can't wait to get properly involved - although I wish they'd stop asking me to vote Labour :P.

Definitely not a green - although my next car will be electric :P.

I would vote TUSC if they were standing in my area.

I'm sorry are you calling me a 5 year old? And that's the point, each generation the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Inequality breads inequality and it ends in power being focused in the hands of a tiny few and then a peasants revolt.

the world is what we make it, if the masses decide that the world will become equal then it will.
I'm sorry; what? There are zero peasants in the UK at the minute.

Also that ideas only relevant when "peasants" don't have the soft power universal suffrage entails. We're not going to have a socialist revolution and we're not going to have a revolt about the price of bread.

It's not the same thing. Peasants are agricultural labourers in a feudal system.

Why when they can just vote for the socialist Party? the appetite for socialism is very low in England. I'll grant that the appetite for for a broadly left party is high; we have several of those. There aren't exactly screaming hordes of people who want a Party to the left of the Greens to be honest.

Because of tactical voting which them all from doing so. And socialism is inevitable, maybe it'll be sooner or later but it will happen. Capitalism can't last.
