Anyone do any AS Levels in AQA Bio, Phy A and Econ? Or EdExcel Maths. If so how'd you find them, what results you expecting?

Anyone else a little worried about AQA? 3/4 of my AS subjects are with them, after their behaviour at GCSE English, I feel they're a little bit unpredictable. Once they've picked on GCSE exams, surely A-levels are next? Although to be fair, GCSEs hardly compare to A-levels....:bban::bban::bban:

Yes, see I ramble too much! This is actually one of my biggest problems. I really struggled with the word limit for the coursework. We couldn't go over 2000 words, but my first draft was about 2900....eventually I managed to cut it down to exactly 2000, but it was a challenge! Haha. Aahh omg! Well if you think it will be fine then I'm sure it will! It's best to remain positive about it I guess Cool, yup I'm carrying on. I think the course will be good next year, we're studying a bit of Shakespeare I think and I like reading plays so it should be good What course are you planning on taking at uni?
Oh yeah coursework is such a pain, I don't blame you for going over :L What books are you doing next year? We've started Antony & Cleo and Great Gatsby for coursework, so there's the dose of Shakespeare! I was planning on doing English Lit with Creative Writing at uni, you?

It's definitely broke me. I can just tell that the highest I've gotten is an E
Don't think like that, I don't know you and all that but I'm sure you've done at least better than you expect! Stay positive, that's how you survive AQA looool

I think Birmingham are doing unconditionals this year to make their offer more appealing --> attracting more students to put them as firm
I am confused by this as well as someone at my college got an unconditional offer at Birmingham to do PPE. And he got BBC at (AS). BAFFLED US ALL...............

Any prediction of the number of posts in this thread by 15th?
Or is it more reasonable to predict the number of new threads?

I know! I don't know what came over me, thought I'd spice things up but failed miserably. Sorry! :P

Went onto QUB's website and into clearing.
No vacancies for French with law (what I want to do) for NI and EU students..
But there are vacancies for international students and they're asking for ABB (A level equivalent)
My offer was for AAA.. Can anyone tell me does this mean they've lowered the entry requirements?

Comic sans is not something you can simply apologise for using... You will at least need to take a long spiritual journey up a mountain to cleanse yourself of the abomination that is that font.

It seems likely. But it may be the case that for most courses at QUB the standard offer is ABB.

Your offer is still AAA; whether or not you'll be let in with less is impossible to say until Results day...

Yeah :/ We've started The Scarlett Letter and we'll be comparing it with poetry by Carol Ann Duffy and also Othello for the coursework. And then for the exam we'll be studying Paradise Lost and something else as well, I'm not sure what though. Ah that sounds like a good course. I was thinking about doing English lit because it's always been my favourite subject or English lit combined with law. However recently I changed my mind and now I want to do Psychology. Have you decided where you're going to apply?

Can this journey commence after Thursday? I just might need a long, brutal journey to help rediscover myself. (Arial font it is from now on)

    :nah: C3 I won't have to I don't think, C4 MAYBE, only.time will tell

I love history! it's amazing... Hopefully get the A in the AS in a few days, can't take it to A2 though

Further Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, French and Geography (With Welsh Baccalaureate  and maybe Spanish AS in yr13)
Well, hopefully you won't have to do any resits. I tried to avoid that as much as possible and I've only done one throughout the two years, thankfully.

Oh you're doing history as well why can't you take it to A2?

Wow, that's a lot of subjects. But I'm sure you'll be able to handle it, any clue what you'll apply to uni to study?

Oh Psychology sounds interesting! I was thinking about University of East Anglia, apparently it's the best for Creative Writing. My backup will be Manchester because I hear it's a great city, and then I can never remember my 3 other locations because they're just backup. What about you, where have you been looking?

Yeah, I hope not! Especially as I'm moving to a new college

Yeah, I am! I did one exam in yr10, and awaiting the second this year, it's so interesting

New college. Board change, no space so can't do the A2!

    Yeah, I can't pick between them:sadnod:

:erm: right now? Chemistry of some sort... I love the sound of:
Chemistry, Medicinal and Biological Chemistry with a Year Abroad at York!

Just don't want people nagging me to accept Oxbridge (if I was to get an offer)
