Does anyone know if the extra Greater Manchester assessment day went ahead last week? I don't want to be on edge this week if there's no chance of me hearing.

    Hi everyone,

Firstly massive congrats to the guys that have been accepted, YAH!

Secondly; if like me, you're not sleeping and living with moths in your stomach, then hang on in there, we've all got this far, which is an achievement in itself.
I was at the 19th June Sheffield assessment.
I've just rung penna and they've told me they've had issues with the scoring and the latest we'll find out is the week commencing 15th July. They didn't ask me which assessment centre I was at so I'm presuming that is the standard answer they're giving out.
I contemplated ringing the LA and asking them when they plan on notifying people...i might still do that.
    Good luck everyone!

No, I didn't speak to many myself, but I was in the back-ink group! Can't wait to get started. Roll on January.

Hi, maybe a silly question but do we need to take lunch with us to the assessment day?
Or is it provided? Anything else asides our certs needed to be taken along?

Also, did the day go quickly because on paper it looks like a loong day! I'm a applying for Surrey and have my assessment tomorrow in London. Any tips gratefully received!

    Hi

Lunch is provided on the day as are refreshments throughout the day. The day itself went very quick I thought, but I think it depends on which group you are in and the timings for that group.

I had to take a copy of my passport and a photo but that has varied depending on location. As stressful and challenging as the day is, they do try and put you at ease as much as possible.

    Best of luck.

Thanks Dean. I have been very relaxed up until today. Nerves kicking in now! How long did the interviews take roughly? That's the part I'm dreading most!

Good luck to you too. I hope you hear back soon!

    Hi,
the interviews are scheduled for 1 hour but you don't have to take the full hour, it depends on your answers.
Just curious, is your assessment center in Hammersmith, London?
If so, do not worry, everyone is so nice and really put you at ease!
Enjoy it and good luck x
