    Deadlifts
    60x5
    100x5
    140x3
    160x3
    170x2
    180x5 PB
    190x3 PB

    Hell yeah.

    DB Press
    16x5
    22x5
    24x5, 5
    26x5, 4+f (only left arm failed)
    24x5 to complete 5 working sets

    Row-10%
    45x10
    60x5
    72.5 x 5, 5, 5, 5
    Felt heavy as **** so sacked off last set. Them deadlifts took it out of me.

    Arm work to finish - tricep extensions and incline curls

    Why did you use straps for the top set and not chalk?
    Because grip fails on the very heavy sets, esp when I go for higher reps. Also hands covered in callouses which have been ripped/torn off and are rather tender.

    AWESOME Deadlifting there. Very very nice!

    FAir enough. I have a weak back compared to my grip. Can do almost the same 1RM on an axle ffs.

    Cheers bro.

    My grip has been a bit of a saga. Took me a while to actually get chalk, had cucumber telling me off after every session because I was struggling to do 160x5 due to grip issues. As soon as I got straps and chalk I hit 200 for 1 inside two weeks. Just shows how much my grip was holding me back.

    Also I have no aspirations to compete, the only time I'd think about taking lifting that seriously would be if I had a 'career ending' hockey injury, which would most likely stop me lifting seriously as well. So using straps isn't an issue in that sense either.

    Another good session. Been eating and sleeping well, can tell. Felt good.

    Bench
    75 5x5 PB
    No issues here. Good stuff.

    Row
    80 5x5
    Same weight as last time but felt like fewer dodgy reps. Will progress next time.

    Shrugs
    100 3x8 PB
    80x10 paused

    Dips +10kg x 8, 8, 7 PB
    Not achieved 8, 8, 7 on +9kg before, although 1 kg in bodyweight + X doesn't make much difference as my actual weight could have shifted down.

    Bicep stuff, nothing special and mixed up a lot between 35/30kg bar and 12/14 DBs

    Bulgarian Split squats
    60kg x 6, 4x8 PB in the sense that not done that volume before. Forgotten what it feels like to be decimated by a hard squat session. Still not going to BB squat until autumn when moving to london and will ensure got gym with squat rack. Smith ****ed my knees.

    Varies. Up to 120 I use doh no chalk. Then chalk for 140. Mixed 160/170 and straps for final set. I should work a bit more on grip and try to do 180s without straps vut atm im just riding the noob gains while I can add weight every 4-5 days

    Pretty much 6 months to the day since I started this blog. As currently messing around installing new drivers on PC and as a result very bored I figured I may as well record my progress over the past 6 months.

    Weight
    84kg -> 88kg

    Smith Squat 5x5
    90kg -> 130kg 2 months ago. Haven't squatted since as it was hurting my knees.

    Deadlift 5RM
    100 -> 185, and have done 200kg x1

    Bench Press 5x5
    47.5kg -> 75kg

    OHP 5x5
    30kg Barbell -> 26kg Dumbbells

    Barbell Row 5x5
    45kg -> 80kg

    Have gotten a lot stronger, noticeably bigger even with clothes on (mates I haven't seen in a while have commented), also put on a noticeable amount of fat but that can be lost at a later stage. I am planning on continuing my bulk until the noob gains start to plateau then will think about cutting. That said, with the prospect of a white collar job starting in October I will have the issue of fitting into a suit so can't go overboard with the bulking.

    In terms of targets for the near future, I'd like to deadlift 200kg for 5 reps and also bench 100kg for 1. I think I should be able to achieve both by the end of July, if not sooner.

    I will add pics most likely tomorrow, and compare them to the ones taken in Jan.

    Shrugs
    102.5kg 4x8 PB

    Dips
    +12kg 8, 8, 8, 6 PB

    My bench is about the same time span behind yours as your deadlift is behind mine. Who can catch the other first

    Yep it is. I thought you were ahead of me in bench

    88kg

    edit always had it in my head you were ahead of me on bench, but that might have been before your hiatus. I don't know that I'd get 90x2. 77.5 today was the highest weight I've ever done as never tried a 1RM/2RM etc
