Can't believe I've been missing out on it for so long, marquee moon (both album and track) were top notch, perhaps knocking ramones of the 2nd spot in my favourite new york bands

Speaking of that New York CBGB's scene, I assume you're familiar with Talking Heads? :smile: Anyway another band which you should check out are The Feelies. They're very Talking Heads-esque, though I think they were around before The Heads.

I can't find the album but it's called Crazy Rhythms.

I may check them out sometime. I have a lot of albums to get through first :tongue: I most recently got Coney Island Baby by Lou Reed on the strength of the title track :tongue:

Would 100% recommend them, even the list of just a few of the artists who have stated that they have been influenced massively by them is impressive, Sex Pistols, the Ramones, Guns N' Roses, the Damned, and The Smiths (taken from Wikipedia)

I know they're quite influential and that Morrissey is quite a fan... I will check them out sometime :smile:
