Doesn't that route only open up if you have an acredited Biomed?

If you went to QM it's on to medicine or burger flipping (of last years grads that I know, one is doing medicine, one is running a bookshop in the union full time, one is doing a law conversion course and one is unemployed).

Ah, of course. So QM decided to get in there quick before the other two places could tempt him.

p.s. my comments about the fate of the qm biomeds are, I think, less of a comment on the fate of QM students but more on graduates everywhere.

Oi, who let our thread slip onto the second page?! Are there no pre-freshers around this week?

I have a mock interview on Monday with a GP from where I work. Question is, do I wear a suit? I'll already be wearing black trousers/ a smart-ish blouse, so is a jacket a bit OTT just for a mock interview?

On another note, some arse that volunteers with me at the hospice tried to steal my answers yesterday by asking what I'd gained from my work experience (she hasn't done any except the hospice work). Was I wrong to lie and say all I did was watch doctors fill in paperwork?

Yes you were wrong. I know medicine's a competitive course and all but theres no need to mislead other applicants just to get your own foot through the door. I wouldn't want a doctor like that.

Shame, because I imagine those people are at a competitive advantage with respect to getting in.
