    I got in for Geography! So happy right now. Bad luck to anyone who didn't get in, don't worry it doesn't affect your chances of getting in to Oxford Uni.

    Acorn , Polar, grades and your school information all played a substantially bigger part during selection than personal statements.

    Personal statements were last on the list of considerations for the majority of the subjects this year. One of the reasons for this is :

    It's similar to things used by schools to help work out target grades, it uses your postcode to determine averages about your area.

    Must have been really competitive, ACORN 55 with 6A*s, 6As, didn't get in. For the people in my position, how are you going to fill the void this summer?

    I've got another summer school lined up so hopefully I get into that one! I've also subscribed to a few Engineering MOOCs on FutureLearn that run during the summer which will be something to look forward to!
