There are plenty of airports that are under used in England.
Some people don't want to spend triple the time on a train than a plane (based on Newcastle to London) so why should we restrict the options available to people, should these people not have a choice of how they travel?
You do not spend triple the time, once you have travelled to the airport, gone through the check in, and then had to wait for luggage at the other end. The time difference would be little if any with high speed rail.

Two hours to Brussels or two and a half hours to Paris by train is quicker than flying.

Under used airports in England is another argument for no new runway at Heathrow.

    Enough

New members, I'd say 3 or 4 that are active(ish). Joe and TitanCream are our most active new members. We also have ChildOfTony that joined a couple of days ago who's doing great so far.
Then, from other parties another 4.
We've had 12 newcomers since the start of Parliament XI (I think that was the last one ), with at least 4 of them becoming regularly active like Gladiator12345 and Mactotaur
I think it's probably the highest number of recruits the SP's ever had

How many of those underused airports have the runway length, let alone the facilites, for XLRs?

That's about as likely as a Conservative landslide.

    Oh...have I said too much?

The under used runways do not have the required length for the big international flights that are increasing rapidly, the required runway length for the a380 while empty is longer than some runways we currently use for international flights.
I believe outside of London only Manchester, Birmingham and prestwick could handle the plane

We are talking about domestic flights here not flights to Brussels, the time you need to be at the airport on domestic flights is only around 15 minutes.

RAF Lyneham (as was), Kent International and the former RAF Alconbury are three that come to mind. Stansted and Birmingham have spare capacity as weil.

A 20 coach train carries more people than a 737 in any case. Or an A380 which I imagine would not be used on domestic flights.

I think the votes after 24 hours have Labour leading because their user base is large, the Conservatives with half as many votes, the Liberals behind with UKIP slightly behind the Liberals, and the other three parties trailing.

So doing the same as the 24h mark last time, give or take?

Screenshot it. We want daily updates post-election.

Can you also confirm that you have the community team ready to dupe check straight away once the election is complete so we don't wait a week like the by-election.

You were very active in the 9th and 16th parliament filling about 10 seats in each (in the 16th Labour were collapsing so you got their seats via A83 and completely dominated them).

    Ummm...Marxists?

Although in fairness we've a wide range of left-wingers, from demsocs to left comms, Trotskyists, De Leonists, Leninists and the good old-fashioned Marxists.
Although I'm not sure if anyone actually classes themselves as those....
