How can I fill in my term time address when I don't know it?
It's just the college address, I believe.

For anyone who thinks they may get an OOB, log on to student finance and go on the correspondence bit on the left. It will be there.

If you get any maintenance grant it's likely that you will get one so look again on Monday.

But don't worry, the OOB people are much much faster than the student finance people. The first payment is 1/2 way through Michaelmas so you have plenty of time (and if for some reason you miss the first, they will do back payments, don't worry).

what do people normally wear to formal dinners? like bow tie or tie, normal shirt or dress shirt etc. and are there many other occasions when I might need that kind of stuff (formal wear)?

just figuring out what things I need to get before going down

*going up. :p: Black tie is normal, so getting that would be not a bad idea. Anything else is more unusual.

People might notice, depends on how fussed you are about details like that. You can buy dinner suits pretty cheaply at M&S though.

I think I'm just getting the one black suit for everything. Surely there'll be a decent number who don't have both...?
