Hello. I was present at the pre-departure talk. The British Council representative said it is not necessary to do a x-ray, and they very rarely (almost never) ask for documents at the customs. Even in the event that you do encounter such a request, they can easily do one for you at the airport screening rooms.

What she did say was that if you do have existing health documents and x-rays, it would be good to bring them along with you. Even if not for the customs, they may come in useful for health insurance and hospitals/clinics.

Has anyone taken a chest x-ray before moving to London?? I never attended the pre-departure talk that the British Council organized, but from what others have mentioned, they recommended to take a chest x-ray incase of immigration? This puzzles me because I landed in heathrow numerous times before, but I was never asked produce an x-ray?! Is this really necessary? And what would be a cheap/fast place to do this?

Oh ok, thanks! I was getting rather worried about it (I'm flying in a couple of weeks and it was just one more thing on my to-do-list), but you put my mind at ease! Many thanks

You're most welcome. All the best! How come so many of you are flying so early? I'm only leaving towards the end of Sept to be in time for the Autumn term.

I'm not sure about Bizz & IR but for Law, honestly I don't think it's possible. Mainly because the SG Law society only recognises 19 UK universities and all of them are the top 30 in the UK. Most of them require AAA or AAB or ABB. You have to do a foundation first then go on to University.

For bizz and IR, I suppose (I'm guessing only) you could enter but the University won't be a top tier one / not so reputable one.

After all there are 100+ Universities in the UK

for Law...no chance really

Which ones are possible then? (for biz/IR) Just a rough guide?

Oh yeah! LSE is quite famous for Actuarial Science too, although its Actuarial Science programme is just a mediocre one. I'm leaving in around a month too!!! So excited now.

Wow! Smart girl! Haha I have to come back too.

Hey guys!

I'm planning on a trip to the Harry potter exhibition but I haven't done much research on it and I'm not familiar with Singapore. I would really appreciate your advice and suggestions on the itinerary for the trip. Among my questions are:

1. How long will the tour in the Harry potter exhibition take?

2. Is it really necessary to book tickets to visit the place on Saturday (18/8)?

3. What other recommended places could I visit after the tour?

4. Any recommended food/restaurant around the area?

5. What was your itinerary when you travelled to the exhibition?

Thank you for your assistance!

1) You can only be in the exhibition for an hour!

2) I don't think you need to book online but i hear it is about 2 dollars cheaper online than when you buy it there and then. It's close to sept already, most Singaporeans would have already been there so it shouldn't be that crowded.

3 & 4) Nearby there is the "Gardens by the bay" "Esplanade" "Marina Bay shopping & Casino" I recommend going near the evening so you see the lightwork. But the day is fine too Then you could head to Clarke Quay later in the night, there they have loads of restaurants & bars there. Not sure about the price though. It's the City area so most of the food should be nice unless you are going for a really really authentic Singaporean Dish then don't go there cuz it'll be a rip-off tbh. I've seen Chicken rice for 24 dollars when they are just a mere 3 dollars in a food courts. Ridiculous!

5) A small bag would do. There is nothing much to bring tbh. Except yourself, a camera, $$$ & an Umbrella just in case.

Try these but i'm really unsure. I'm just figuring it out with the league tables using the UCAS tariff (approximation only)
(You should see a consultant tho)

1. Birmingham City
2. Leeds Metropolitan
3. Westminster
4. Oxford Brookes (Quite tough)
5. Manchester Metropolitan
6. Queen Margaret
7. University College Birmingham
8. London Metropolitan
9. Hull (Quite tough)
10. Bangor (Quite difficult)
11. Kent (Quite tough)

I picked out these 11 because I've heard of them before which means they are more reputable in a sense.....?
