I've got both of mine booked in for January! I'm most worried about the article! Do we have to just talk about it? The word present is making me worry incase me are meant to do more than just talk about it. Do you think we can take in notes to help us?
I read on the website that they ask us follow up questions based on our answers so I'm hoping that happens! All I have is a sheet with advantages and disadvantages on, I'm hoping to just talk more about those. Have you had much classroom experience? I don't think they'd let us take notes in :-( what time do you think we'll be finished? Can't wait till it's over and I can calm down!

For those who got conditional offers, how long after your offer do you have to pass your skills tests? For example IoE gives you 6 weeks if I am not mistaken.

    Let me know.
    Thanks

Well it says there will be no power point resources available but it doesn't specifically say no notes haha so I am going to take some along and if I can take them in great if not it's not too bad! I did a Childhood Studies degree so did lots of work experience as part of that and have also worked since February as a Teaching Assistant in a Reception class so have got a fair bit of experience. How about you? Well there are afternoon interviews too so I am presuming it won't go on much past lunch time! I hope it isn't too long before we find out either, but with it being Christmas I can imagine the wait is going to be a while, I'm so inpatient too!!

I certainly am hoping so! I will read through it all before I get there so may have some of it in short term memory, but I'm not sure I'll be able to do a presentation on something so complex without any notes to hand!

    Good luck to you
I was thinking the same, it is a lot to remember from memory! I am going to take some notes along and if I am able to use them that'll be great! Good luck to you too!!

    Hello...

Could anybody give me a general overview of the main changes that will be made to the national curriculum for primary in 2014? And briefly explain why are these changes being made?

    Thanks so much

I got an email of them on Friday asking me to confirm my science grade so I think they're still going through applications..!

I am planning to apply for Primary PGCE but due to various personal reasons have left my application very late - is it too late?
For some unis, yes, but for others not at all, so really it depends where you want to apply. Certainly if you are able to submit an application for a uni on ucas I would give it a try.

    Xxx

Anyone else at Edinburgh this week? Getting quite nervous!

Kind of stressing about the current issues questions as well, most of mine were about inclusion, which I've obviously had to change! I also don't want to go too political IYKWIM, re class sizes/ CfE/ SNP.

I have a conditional offer from IoE, although what those conditions are I have no idea as the letter still hasn't arrived. Kings haven't replied yet, but they said they would before christmas so I imagine everything should come through soon.
Oh well done! How long did they take to get back to you?

Oh I think I'll do that then and bring some notes too! When did you graduate? I'm in my third year of a BA Education degree and I've done voluntary work since the beginning of that so I have experience in Year 3, Nursery, Year 1 and Reception classes. The wait is going to be awful isn't it! I don't feel prepared enough at all...

Congrats on your offer what did you do for your 2 min presentation? I had the same presentation last year for MMU and I'm finding it hard to choose something to talk about with all the changes/things that are going on at the moment! I was unsuccessful last year so I really want to do better this time round, my interviews not til Jan 8th so I have some time to prepare

Hi, new to the thread. One of my choices is the Bishop Rawstone schools direct route. It's my first choice and it's the only one I haven't heard back from. It's probably a long shot, but anyone else applied there and heard anything yet? This process really does bring out your impatient side!!
Yep I was due to have an interview there on Wednesday but it clashes with another interview I've got at Liverpool Hope so they've very kindly said that they will put me in the next round of interviews in the new year.

Not too bad about it, just annoying isn't it that we have to bring in our CV, passport photos and an extra 500 words on our work experience!
