Percentage difference is calculated as follows

High value-lower value=Difference.

(Difference/Lower value)*100=342%

That is what I got.

But

Lower/higher * 100 = percenatge increase

so lower * [value from above] = higher

i got the value of 429%

and when you do lower * 4.29 = higher

but i suppose thats % increase rather than % difference, i probably didn't read the question right :/

Everyone get 6 for the spiracle frequency ? Thumbs up if yes
I got 6 in the insect question.
Took 8 seconds for the process and the process itself took 2 seconds.

8+2 = 10.
60/10 = 6 =)

c)destruction of plants and growing of 1 dominating crop means less food sources, habitats for insects and use of pesticides
For this I noticed it specified why would the deforestation reduce diversity (not the crops/agriculture

Getting iritated by the different interpretations for the 6 marker- Here are the correct marks.

-Active transport
- Lower water potential
-osmosis
- transpiration/evaperation
- Root pressure
- cohesion-tension theory

None of this symplastic/apoplastic rubbish
Thank you my friend! I guarantee they are the correct 6 marking points

I got 342 but I got 37500

Do you not do 1250X30?

1 In 30 have the genetic disorder

1250:37500 is 1:30 ratio

This was posted from The Student Room's iPhone/iPad App

There is a ratio of 1:200 of amish people in America with the syndrome, 30 was the number of Swiss founders of Amish people.

Was percentage INCREASE - have to deduct 100% from your answer.
I have made that mistake MANY times, luckily not this time. =P

I put fewer ecological niches and a reduction in the variety of food sources, so insects would die off.. aha

So you reckon they would allow a range of values for the oxygen 4kPa as I put 17%?

Hmm guys, after finding out if you were right or wrong don't dwell on it! Make sure you move on to something else! It's better to do bad in one than let one ruin it for the rest of your other exams

I did the -100% in my workings, to show 329% [to 3.s.f]
but wrote down 429% just in case, so out of 2, i should get 1.
