There are usually 2 batches of tickets that come out. March 30th for the first batch with weekend tickets for entry on Thursday. The second batch weekend tickets are for entry on Friday. I don't know if this has changed this year, doubt it...
This only happened one year (2007) and wont be repeated. Melvin Benn (The head organiser) has stated that it was a mistake.

Well Radiohead are big enough to have NIN under them, I'd say.
No, they're not. Just because you like them more doesn't mean they're a bigger draw in promotion terms.

    Portishead?
Tend not to play festivals, recent examples are exceptions that prove the rule.

Re: the Weezer mention, they mentioned they wanted to play last year but named specific bands who were on the bill as their motivation. I wouldn't bet on it unless you've got a decent source.

Oh, and getting anxious about tickets is a mistake. I ended up with about five last time and I didn't get any on the day. Got two from a re-release and the rest I picked up for friends by keeping my ears open. Seriously, they're in abundance and people always drop out.

Trent Reznor would burn the entire city of Reading to the ground if NIN were stuck under ANYONE, I should think...

I'd be really surprised if Rise Against were on the main stage as I don't see who'd headline the lock up.

Would love it if New Found Glory played.

Rise Against fit the stereotypical Reading early Sunday mould.

Currently, I'm content about not attending - though Bloc tickets for Olympia on the 11th would be nice...

Oh, I'm not saying they wouldn't play the main stage. It's just there aren't really any rumoured bands that'd be more suited to headline the lock up.

    how much will tickets be?

is there likely to be a lot of demand? so is there a chance they will all sell out if i don't buy one on the day they come on sale.

I agree they will sell out that night. But it's not normally actually possible to sell out that quickly. Last year you could still buy them off official sites until well into the night. I know this as my friend did it after I tipped him off. There's always cancellations and returns that happen so it's worth sticking around all night.
But the next day you have little chance at all.
