Can anyone help me, should I pick Medway or DMU as my insurance?
Hi again,

Are there any other questions for me that might help you with your decision?

Hey guys I'm thinking to apply to pharmacy related degree next year but I have been confused on this. Can someone distinguish between pharmacy, pharmaceutical science and pharmacology. Can you also just give examples of careers I can go in to

Thank you

Right so,

Pharmacology is where you study how different drugs interact with body tissues and their metabolic pathways. Prospective job is working in a lab researching drugs their side effects and different ways of administering them

Pharmaceutical is where you study to how to manufacture drugs mainly research new drugs to find the most effective to cure a disease. Prospective job would be working in the industry for a Pharmaceutical companies.

Pharmacy is where you study both of the above as well as how to run a pharmacy. Prospective job is working as a pharmacist also you could go into pharmacology and pharmaceuticals as you studied both in the course.

If i got an offer from dmu for 300 ucas points abc or bbb but i end up getting bbc and the c being in chemistry will they still let me in
Depends ,like the person who has replied to you said!
Depends on the national average .
Some places let you in if you miss your offer by a grade .
I also know people who have got in (not DMU) with BCC,BBC,BCD last year .The one who got in with BCD had the D in chemistry (this was through clearing & not DMU)
Universities tend to be more lenient if you have put them as your firm .
Just do the best you can also be prepared for he worst & whatever happens ,happens

Its all personal preference trust me. The only opinion that will matter is yours when you go to open days of these universities. Dont go what people tell you, just go visit and you will make the best decision

Are there any pharmacy students on here that have just completed their first year of the mPharm degree using the "integrated" method of subject delivery that universities are now undertaking?

Yeah you can. UEA, Nottingham and Manchester offer foundation courses. I think others schools do as well but it might be a more general healthcare year 0 like Keele.

I've just completed my 2nd year at Brighton, where my cohort was the first one to be taught using an integrated approach.
