I've never been much for Statistics problems but I've always enjoyed a good sudoku and mental maths problem too, I understand that logic is a part of Maths but I just see it as common sense really, so what made you choose Computing as your university course?
Statistics doesn't always agree with common sense:no: Have you heard of the Monty Hall problem? Almost nobody gets it right first time.

I picked Computing(AI, specifically) because I find the way intelligence works really interesting and don't much like biology.

Oh yeah I've heard of that problem and basically you're more likely to get the car if you switch because at the beginning you'll only have 1/3 chance of picking the car but when you open up to reveal a goat it then goes to a 50-50 chance of gaining the car if you switch and as this is a higher percentage than the beginning one that's why you'd switch.

And that's fair enough, I've always been fascinated by that stuff as well but I thought I'd just get the general degree in Mathematics to then specialise afterwards, so which A levels did you take?

2/3, actually It's nothing compared to the tuesday birthday problem though. Or at least, not in my opinion.

I left school without them, I'm getting into uni via an access course. No A level here.
